Project 7-Proposals

Proposal 1
For this first proposal I would like to do a series of images of a little girl (my niece) getting to go outside and play. I want to capture her emotions of being cooped up inside, whether it's watching tv or playing with dolls. Then I want to capture some images of her getting to go outside and the freedom to run and be active. My goal is to capture a series of emotion with proper photography techniques.

Proposal 2
I thought about maybe making a series of how to bake something. I was thinking about making bread or cupcakes and decorate them. Kind of like a how-to series. I was going to capture some images of the ingredients, the process, baking, and possibly decorating.

Cartier Bresson Research Project

I liked this photograph because there is a lot of depth to this scene due to the variety of architecture. There are so many lines and shapes your eye doesn't want to focus on one object or person.
Looking at this photo, my eye automatically focuses of the different branches of this tree. The angles of the branches gives it some sort of rhythm. Then you see this elderly man peaking of the shrubs, which is one of the main focal points of this image. He stands out so much because he's in white and everything else has a gray or black color to it. I would say that there is a great concept of light and shadow. Also, if you look at his facial expression, you feel a sense of peace, where as, if he was't in this picture, there wouldn't be much emotion to it
